The West Long Branch Chamber of Commerce was established in 1966.
Following is a list of some of the projects in which the Chamber is involved:
- Donated a Welcome sign on RT 36 to remind residents, and visitors, that the chamber is involved in the support of the community
- Donates to sports organizations and scholarship funds
- Donations to the Police Dept. provided the funds for the purchase of protection vests and bikes
- Donates to the First Aid and Fire Dept.
- Donated to the WLB Centennial celebration
- Donates yearly to the Michael Thorne Scholarship Run
- Citations of Merit, such as Valenzano Award, presented to local students at graduation or to Chamber members for outstanding dedication toward their customers and the community
- The Chamber has also sponsored such events as concerts in the park, hats and balloons on the 4th of July,and local maps to Monmouth University freshman to acquaint them with the town.
- In 2010, they donated the flagpole to the WLB Police Dept.
Membership dues are 40.00 per year.
