Recreation and Environmental Chairman
Steven Cioffi is a life-long resident of West Long Branch and was elected to the Borough Council in November 2006. He is the Chairman of the Recreation and Environmental Committees and also serves on the Fire and First Aid & Public Works Committees.
Prior to winning his first council seat with his running mates, Councilwoman Barbara Ruane and Mayor Janet Tucci, Steven served as Chairman to the Environmental Commission and was a member of the Planning Board. Steven continues to hold his position on the Planning Board as Council Liaison.
Steven is employed as a Sergeant with the Oceanport Police Department and is one of their certified DARE Officers. Steven’s community involvement consists of his past membership in the West Long Branch Fire & First Aid Squad, and he currently volunteers as a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator for the borough.
