3. On-going business
a. Spring Recycling Event report:
The recycling event took place on Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the WLB Community Center. There was a large response to the secure personal document shredding offered. There was not a great response to the collection of general household goods which was offered by the U.S. War Veterans organization. Electronics also did not show as large a turn-out as previous recycling events, perhaps because more towns are offering electronics recycling to their residents. b. Annual Ronan Shirvanian Park Clean-up report:
Lisa reported that the clean-up took place on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. The effort was led by Felicia Costentino.
c. Whale Pond Brook Watershed Association report – No ` status to report (NSTR)
d. Sustainable Jersey Program report – Lisa suggested that Ellen may make her presentation to Council in a few weeks.
e. Environmental Partnership report – Carolyn Serebreny offered to inquire about meeting dates. Carolyn would be interested in attending.
